File Close From Opera Plugin Greyed Out

Post by Bhikkhu Pesala »

Using the Adobe Reader plugin, I can close a PDF tab with Ctrl W. (This will crash some versions of Opera, but that's not the issue).

In the PDF-XChange plugin the File Close item is greyed out, and even if I assign Ctrl W to the item, it won't work.

Is it possible to make the close shortcut and/or menu item close the plugin, without crashing the browser?

Hi Bhikkhu,

When Opera has the focus Ctrl + W correctly closes the tab, but when the plugin has the focus you are right that nothing happens.
Will speak with the devs to see if it can be done that a Ctrl + W press when the plugin has the focus closes the whole browser tab.

Best,
Stefan

Hi again Bhikkhu,

Just spoke with the guys responsible for the browser plugins and they told me that this feature is currently unavailable and the current realization does not allow us to achieve it in a satisfactory way, so we will be looking for a working solution and if found we will surely implement it.

Regards,
Stefan

Thank you for checking.

It is not important as I can use the mouse, but one little thing that Adobe Reader can do that PDF-XChange currently cannot.
