Thumbnails are broken after uninstall n reinstall

Recently, I've uninstalled my old version of PDF-Xchange Viewer and re-installed the latest version 2.0.0050.0.
I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x32 version.

After that I've observed strange thumbnail behavior for certain type of views in Windows Explorer. Please check the following screenshots :
For the file-type-view in windows explorer in the mode of "List" and "Small Icons", it must show the PDF-Xchange View Icon as default (As I have observed in previous version) but it shows some broken ICONS

Then, again with all other remaining types of file-type-view in windows explorer(large, medium, details, tiles etc..), PDF files shows its exact thumbnails.

What's gone wrong with the first screenshot of file-type-view in windows explorer? Btw, .pdf files are only broken in my system

Hey, Paul, thanks for taking time to respond.

as per that thread, I've done these steps:

Open Regedit and Navigate to the branch:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PDF-XChangeViewer.1\DefaultIcon
and modify the default key by inserting the name of the application with the desired icon followed by a comma followed by the index of the icon.
eg:
C:\Program Files\PDFXChangeViewer\pdf-viewer\PDFXCview.exe,2
might be a good choice for another (much more familiar) pdf icon .
(ie In this example you simply need to change the 1 at the end to a 2.)

I've edited regedit to C:\Program Files\PDFXChangeViewer\pdf-viewer\PDFXCview.exe,2 .
Is that what u are referring to?

But, unfortunately, it didn't work out. Problem persists.

sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The first thing to do is this:

1: Select the desktop shortcut
2: Right Click
3: Select the Change Icon button
4: Browse your system, locate and apply an Icon file (.icon) that suits you needs - please not we do not supply alternatives ourselves.

From my reading of your post it seems to me that you do not have an issue with the association being set to PDF-XChange Viewer or the thumbnail preview, it is just the icon when in list view missing. Have I misunderstood?

yes, u have misunderstood. Its not the issue with the desktop Icon or association of PDF-X viewer to pdf file.
Main issue here is the THUMBNAIL preview of pdf files in list view(actually it doesn't show you any thumbnails of photo of that document in LIST mode, instead it will show you the PDF-X viewer ICON - because thumnails are too small to notice in list view)...

Actually, I dont have a desktop icon of PDF-X viewer !!

From your first post screen shot it appears appears to me that the PDF-XChange icons are missing in list view. Is this the case and you want to see PDF-XChange icons displayed in List View?

It's default value should be "C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF Viewer\PDFXCview.exe",1

I've changed the default to its value.

I've entered it with quotes included. Still problem persists.
If u have gone through this thread, u can see that my registry settings were to its default and yet I got porblems.

Let me know what to do.

Please export and send me the path of the registry located by path:

Please try to change here HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf default value to "PDF-XChangeViewer.1".

(P.S. Looks like Foxit causes the problem, but I cannot say this with certainty).
