I would like to apologize for being a trouble maker this week, but I may have found something else.
I have a file that has both portrait and landscape pages. I tried the rotate pages > all pages > landscape pages feature and nothing happened. I had never noticed this feature before and I was curious. I then tried it in Acrobat and it worked. Also, if I tried rotate pages > all pages > portrait in PDFXV, it rotated all pages. It appears that PDFXV is not recognizing the difference between portrait and landscape pages.
I have noticed before that when a file like this is printed with Acrobat, the landscape pages are rotated during the printing process. However, that does not seem to happen in PDFXV. I can see it clearly because I print everything through Fineprint, which allows me to preview and manipulate what is sent on to the printer.
Some pages at the end of this same file appear to be scanned in. These pages have vertical lines running down them like the page is squished when viewed in the Fineprint preview window. The lines do not show up in paper print outs, but those type of pages seem to slow the printing process way down. I noticed this and commented on it in the forum before. I thought previously though that it was because the pages were blueprint size (30" x 24"). However, these 4 pages are just regular portrait letter size. I am pretty sure the difference with those pages is that they were scanned and then added to the end of a regular pdf file.
Thank you.

Re: Rotate Pages

Re: Rotate Pages
Just to clarify on the printing part. All pages eventually print to paper fine. PDFXV just seems to print slower than Acrobat, and definitely prints slower with scanned pages. I have attached 2 screenshots showing the difference when I print landscape pages to Fineprint from PDFXV and Acrobat. There is also a screenshot showing the lines on one of the scanned pages. Thank you.

Re: Rotate Pages
PDF-XChange uses the Windows GDI for printing and whether the content is Postscript, PCL, plotters etc is not differentiated -looks like it is our problem (but it should not by GDI paradigm, is it?)
In V3 of the viewer we will use different methods for printing for different kinds of printers.

Re: Rotate Pages
Okay. Is that also the reason that the rotate pages command seems not to work? As I mentioned, if I have mixed portrait and landscape pages (landscape pages are rotated for reading purposes), the Document > Rotate pages > All pages > Landscape pages command does not work. It works fine if I bring the file into Acrobat. The file came to me this way, I did not first rotate any pages. The document was created with Win2PDF and is version 1.6.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Rotate Pages
No, it is not a reason for sure and command Document -> Rotate pages should work in any case if your document's permissions allows document's modification.
Can you send me your document (attach it here on the forum, or send me by email Ivan@docu-track.com) with step-by-step instruction what doesn't work as expected ?
