Printing tiled pdf file

Post by chmpenet »

Hi,

I want to print a long pdf file. Its dimensions are 40x300 cm. The file is consisted by only 1 page.
I tried to use the "tile all pages option" and I used 0 cm for overlay and the printer that I use is an old EPSON Stylus Color 3000 using the tractor feed for continuous paper supply.
For my purposes its necessary to have a continuous printed image and not separate pages that I will connect later with scotch or something.

My problem is that, even if the entire file gets printed, there are white gaps due to the printer margins (that I cannot change through the printer options) in the end of each tiled page.
So the resulting printed file is practically interrupted by blank "lines", producing a discontinuous image result.

Is there any workaround this problem? Is there a way to eliminate these margins and the final printed image comes out without any print interruptions?
Thanks in advance.

Hello chmpenet,

Unfortunately we do not have control over the printer margins either.
If there is any chance to achieve what you desire, it will happen through the printer's drivers.
As it is a roll feeder and the only physical margins the printer needs are on the sides to feed the paper it might be possible.
Please check for other drivers, or for some tricks online that can help you do what you are aiming for.

Our Viewer will always pass just as much of the info as the printer tells it it can fit in it's margins and you can't change that.

Best,
Stefan
