I was using PDFXV to re-order pages in a file and I dragged the thumbnail pane all the way across the screen to see how it worked. I increased the size of the thumbnails to make them easier to see. I then noticed that the page selection and focus markers seemed off.

If I selected a page with the keyboard (arrow key and enter), the orange box was consistently one page over. With the mouse it was consistently 2 pages to the right. I have attached screen shots of both scenarios.

If I drag to the left and make the thumbnail pane smaller, it works the way I think it is supposed to. I think it is mainly cosmetic, and doesn't affect anything. It may in fact be just as it should be, but is inconsistent with keyboard and mouse.

It's normal behavior because the orange box highlights the current page in the pages view and when the thumbnails window is larger and the pages view is smaller and the Fit-Page zoom-mode (as in your screenshots) specified (or other small zoom) there can exist some distance between the selected thumbnail and highlighted thumbnail (current page in pages view). The current page in the pages view is page which is nearest to the center point in the pages view (adobe's behavior). in regards the mouse/keyboard-selecting differences: if you select the thumbnail by the arrow key then the control changes selection only, but if you a mouse-click on the thumbnail - control changes the selection AND tries to change the current page in the pages view to this thumbnail...

I think you are saying that the orange box placement depends on the magnification of the panel on the far right. That the orange box shows the middle page, more or less. I think I see the logic in that. I assumed that highlighting with the blue box and pressing the enter key would produce the same result as selecting the same page with the mouse. Thank you for clarifying.
