Distance Tool

I have found PDF-Xchange Viewer to be a great tool for estimating materials from a PDF plan. Unless I have overlooked a setting somewhere, is there a way to have the Distance Tool show feet and inches instead of decimal feet? I have not found any related questions searching the forum. Thanks!

I don't believe there is such an ability at present I think it is decimal feet only. It might be something that could be added in future and I have asked the dev team to take a look at it.

Hello rwdozier,

No need to do anything more formal. I have made this an official Feature Request in our ver3 features system, so it will be implemented at some point in the new version of our Viewer.

I see this thread is quite old, but I'm also still not finding how to get out of decimals. I need to regularly set my .pdf scale to 1/8" = 1' When I try to enter the equivalent of 1/8" which is .125 it gets turned into .13 which renders it not usable anymore. All drawings I have to manually enter the text length of things since workers use feet and inches when constructing from plans.

Has this already been implemented and I just can't find the setting...or is it still on its way for future updates?

I do not believe that has been implemented in the current series and that this is for V3. We have a date now for this - it's FIRMLY FIXED for the end of May.

Great News. At least for my field of use, it will make the software so much more useful. I know I've showed XChange Viewer to about 10 general contractors I do work for, and they all love it and have been looking for options to Adobe. They all eventually call me asking how to get it to show inches. A lot of people will be glad to hear it's in the works.
