Is there a setting so that the Pages Thumbnails pane is always displayed whenever a document is opened?
I do not seem to see a setting for this.

Re: Pages Thumbnails pane - how to be displayed always
Hi, Victor.
This option exists already.
Go to Menu/Edit/Preferences/Page Display tab/Initial View group and select from the "Default View" drop-down list the "Thumbnails pane and pages view" item and press OK.
Also you may enable the "Restore last used view.." option in this place to restore of your custom panes layout/visibility each time you are opening a document.
