Arrowheads and Java things

Post by RexLiv »

I sent this by email but it seems to have vanished.

First, thanks for fixing the problems reported in #8686.

I am using PDF-XChange PDF Viewer 2.055 on Windows XP Pro +SP3.

The attached file demonstrates these problems:

1. The arrow heads for the comboboxes on the left page seem to be on the
highest level.
While no layers are used in the document, if you click on the 'HepMe' or
'MyNotes' buttons on the top row...one of two hidden fields will be exposed.
Also..if you click on the 'Hidden' button in the top row, three hidden fields
are exposed.
For each of these...the hidden fields appear on top when using
Adobe Reader 9.3.4.
PDF-XChange Viewer does that BUT the arrowheads still appear on top.
I suggest that any arrowhead that is covered by the now exposed hidden
field should be concealed.

2. When exposing the 'HelpMe' field, there is an onControlMouseDown javascript
associated with the field which tries to use display.hidden to conceal the field
(so users cannot type into the HelpMe field). This script does not work in 2.055.

3. In my development version of the file I have another button which tries to use
console.show() in a javascript to expose the Java console window (which does
not happen in PDF-XChange Viewer 2.055.
I changed this to also generate an error...and then v2.055 does show the Java
console, but I notice that all previous messages had been erased.
While I have worked around this behaviour, I wonder whether console.show()
should expose the Java console.

Can you help with any of these ?

HI RexLiv

thanks for the email. we received your email and sample and have created a support request ticket to track the investigation: RT#449: PDF-XChange PDF Viewer 2.055 arrowheads and java things.

I'll keep you updated by email - unless you would prefer to be notified here, in which case a quick note here to that effect will suffice.
