PDF FILE DIMENSIONS WITH SCANNER

Post by fmasta56 »

Why if I acquire a document from the scanner it comes generated rows pdf of dimensions high (beyond 2MB)? In order to maintain to lowlands dimensions, I must use a resolution of single 150dpi or in black and white… but many programs they allow to generate rows pdf of reduced dimensions!

Hi fmasta56,

if you select in PDF-XChange Viewer File --> New File --> From Scanner you have little control over the size of the resulting PDF as defaults are taken. If however you choose File --> New Document --> From Image File --> then select your scanner from the "Import" button list:

You then have options for things like Image down sampling so you can create a smaller file.:

Is this what you are asking?

Sometimes, if I acquire with scanner a any page to colors, I do not obtain rows of advanced dimensions to 1MB (also 2 or 3 MB). It is not possible to create files from scanner of a little dimensions? Thank
(I have a 2.0 version, build 5.0)

Hi fmasta56,

this is not possible in the current version. We are investigating the possibility of adding it in a future release.
