Touchup Text Tool

Post by Airwolfr »

Hi Guys

When is PDF X-Change going to have a similar function to the Touchup Text tool that is available in Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.

We have rolled out PDF X-Change Pro to AUS & NZ, we were hoping to remove all installations of Acrobat Standard, but as a result of PDF X-Change lacking this feature we had to re-instate some users with Acrobat Std.

Can you please let me know if a fix is on the way so we can remove these unwanted Acrobat installs.

Thanks

Stefan replied to your earlier thread in July saying that it would be available in version 3 later this year.

However, in this thread it is to be released early next year. WIR is always the best estimate — everything seems to take longer than you hope.

Hi Airwolfr,

Bhikkhu is right that the release of v.3 has been postponed. We do not do this lightly. It is very important to us that the product that is released is as near to perfect as possible. We have come very close to finalizing the feature list for this new version and whilst we are not planning to recreate the "Touch Up Tools" we are committed to including the ability to edit the text of the base document which will I believe be superior to the 'Touch Up Tool".

Does that clarify things?
Best regards
