If I click a PDF link in IE 8, PDF-XChange Viewer opens the file in a browser window.
But in Firefox, it starts up PDF-XChange Viewer and displays the page there.
Is there a way or setting to have the pages open directly in Firefox - on another tab perhaps?

Re: PDF-XChange Viewer in Firefox 3.6.10
Hi Chuck,
First go into Firefox Tools->Options, Goto the Applications section, scroll down and find the PDF document and to the right ensure it is set to Use PDF-XChange Viewer (in Firefox). Click Ok and exit and restart Firefox.
If this does not work, make sure Firefox and IE are both closed.
Run the Viewer and goto Edit->Preferences. Click on the File associations category in the left hand list.
On the right uncheck display in browser, click Apply and ok. Exit the Viewer.
Run the Viewer again got back to Edit->Preferences->File Associations and recheck Display in Browser, Apply and Ok.
Test by opening an online PDF using firefox. If you are still experiencing an issue after that please get back to us on it.
Best,

Chris, no, it still does the same thing in Firefox: It downloads the PDF file attached to the link and then opens it in the Viewer.Chris - Tracker Supp wrote:Hi Chuck,

It's not the end of the world, it just is what I was used to seeing in Foxit. I'll get used to it. It's just strange that IE (8) worked without a hitch, but then FF is grumpy.

Chuck

Hi Chuck,
And you confirmed that it is enabled properly in the firefox Applications tab (View in Firefox)? Do you have Adobe reader installed as well?
