White Bar with PDF Xchange Viewer Build 055 and IE6

After Update from PDF-XChange Viewer Build 052 to 055 on systems with Internet Explorer 6 a display problem occurs.
When the PDF browser plug-in is loaded and then the browser is resized a white bar appears between the IE bar and the plug-in bar.
This problem doesn’t occur with IE7 or IE8.
Windows XP SP3, Internet Explorer 6 (latest hot fixes), PDF-XChangeViewer browser plug-in enabled.

I'm not sure if we are supporting IE6 still but will ask. A screen shot of the issue would help. Be sure to zip it before posting or it will be removed from your post by the forum software.

Hi Paul,
I have attached two screenshots. 1. from Build052 (to show it worked on build052). On 2. you see the white bar as I described.
BTW. depending on default window size you have to resize / maximize the IE window to show this effect (if you have a small default window size, it is displayed normal).

I have received confirmation that your fix was included in the V2.5 beta that will be available later today from the regular Viewer download page: . There is already a place holder for it. The notice currently delivered will be replaced later today with the beta installer.

The problem still exists with new 2.5.188 beta version and IE6.

Hello Alor,

Please try a full uninstall, restart, and then install the latest build afresh.
Also ensure that IE is completely stopped when installing (and uninstalling) to ensure that the browser plugin would be registered correctly.

I'd tried it on a fresh installation Windows XP + IE6 without any version of PDF-XChange Viewer installed before, but problem still occures.

Can you please try with a newer version of IE? Even Microsoft has discontinued support for IE6 (as of May this year).

Actually I just got a word from our dev guys and they told me that they found some problems with IE6 and that these would be fixed in the next buld (ver 2.5 stable - expected in 10-14 days).
