Excel Printout

Post by Arnold »

I created a pdf from an Excel worksheet using PDF XChange Lite 4.0186. The pdf file looks fine when opened in PDFX Viewer 2.056. However, in print preview, and when printed, some of the lines are missing. If I open it in Acrobat 8.2 and print, all is well. If I print out of PDFX Viewer and use the setting "Print As Images", all is well. I can create the pdf with other programs with the same result. Should this be this way? See attached zip file. Thank you.

Hello Arnold,

The Previewer is using a different rendering routine than the actual printing, so while some of these very thin lines might not be visible in the preview - see attached a reprint from your sample file, using the latest build of our Viewer - everything is fine in the document itself.

Best,
Stefan

I just tried printing the file I originally sent you. There are lines missing when I print it. The lines are all there when I print your version of it. I don't understand why but will do more checking.

Hi Arnold,

can you please try and increase the driver printer resolution when converting the Excel file and advise if this helps.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
