Redacting portions of a pdf

I've tried everything to redact a portion of a pdf but you can still copy and paste what was covered. Is there any way that I'm missing?

I am afraid that the current versions of our products can not remove the base text in a document.
We are working on ver3 which will introduce direct text editing of the base test in a PDF, so then you should be able to remove the one you do not want to be selectable.

Also - are you using the Menu option 'Comments -> Flatten ..' option to ensure the text box cannot be moved to expose the covered text ?

Even after flattening the comments you can still use the select tool to select the text behind the text box.

I can secure the document so you cannot copy the text but you can still see where the text is.


For example my company wants to redact certain portions of a form we fill out; we don't want anyone to tell what parts of the form were filled out and what parts were not.

Then I am afraid - you will have to await Version 3 for the full text edit/redaction option to be avaiable.
