How can I manage to print path & filename on paper output

Post by rolfmundinger@gmx.de »

Assuming that a file is being opened (using PDF-Xchange-Viewer) wich is supposed to be printed on paper. Don't want to modify the file itself.
Does anyone have a hint about how can I manage to get the file's path and filename being printed onto the paper.
Either as header, footer or as a stamp.

Thanks
Rolf

Hello Rolf,

There are no Header/Footer settings in our Viewer, and on my hardware printer I am only able to print the date and time, but you could possibly go through the browser plugin, and make some changes in the printing preferences there. In my browser (opera) I can set up a "header and footer" section to be printed, and it contains not only the date, but also the location of the file (usually the URL from which you print, but when the file is local it would be the file path).

Best,
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

many thanks for your reply. Will have a look at it and see if or how I can manage.
Finally it's good to know the capabilities, as I'm a quite new user, I don't need to seek further.

Thanks
Rolf
