[I believe I have raised this before on this forum...]
Using PDFX-Change Viewer 2.0.057 on a Thinkpad X100e notebook running Windows 7 Professional (2 gigabytes of RAM).
Compared to every other pdf-viewing program I have tried, PDFX-Change is far the slowest in displaying pages which contain graphics. Eg I will scan a couple of pages as colour as grey at 300dpi, resulting in a 1 to 2 megabyte file.
When opened in PDFX-Change the program horizontal by horizontal layer will display the page, and it is the same for each page. It is often painfully slow. It is not possible to go page to page because there is nothing to see (ie waiting for the pages to display).
I have tried the same file in Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, Nuance PDF Viewer, WordPerfect Lightening (comes with WordPerfect X4/X5) plus a couple of others I cannot remember the names of at the moment. All display the whole page almost straightaway, only sometimes with the slightest delay.
What is worse, when there are lot of other programs open using a high percentage of the CPU, PDFX-Change will not display a page with graphics when opened (ie just a white screen), not even the layer-by-layer. If the other programs are intensive of the CPU PDFX-change will not show anything of the document. The only way to display the pdf document is to close other programs. Unless you are prepared to wait (30 seconds, a minute, or longer). Again with the other programs mentioned above there is only a tiny delay (Nuance PDF Viewer being the worst of the others perhaps).
Also if you switch away from PDFX-Change viewer (where one of the documents described above has fully displayed) to another program and then go back to PDFX-Change that document will sometimes have to re-display, slowly horizontal-by-horizontal layer.
This is all very frustrating as I like (and purchased a licence for) the program.
None of the frequent updates appear to address this issue.

Re: Slowness of displaying graphical pages
Hi Victor,
I believe that this is being worked on for Version 3 of the Viewer scheduled for release in early 2011. I will confirm this with our development team.
Best,
Chris Attrell
