Hi everybody,
i want to use XChange instead of fineprint. I think it has everything for printing multi pages on double sides.
It has the nice function (Subset: Even, Odd Pages) which i want to use for printing first the even and then the odd pages for double side. But theres a problem, because it didn't apply to the "new pages" (with page 1-8), so it print page 1,3,...,15 on one page.
I get
page: 1,3,...,15 on page1 by printing odd pages 2x4 multi pages
page: 2,4,...,16 on page1 by printing even pages 2x4 multi pages
And I want
page: 1-8 on page1 by printing odd pages 2x4 multi pages
page: 9-16 on page1 by printing even pages 2x4 multi pages
I think I'm not the only one who want to use it instead of fineprint.
So, it would be nice to realize this functionality.
Also I think, that otherwise it does not make sense, because who want page 1,3,...,15 one one page and 2,4,...,16 one the other?

Re: Double Side Multi Printing
Printing even pages means exactly printing pages with even page numbers: 2, 4, 6, etc. The same about odd: 1, 3, 5...
If you want to have 1-8 on one sheet, and 9-16 on another sheet, just set Subset to All and 2x4 n-UP. First 8 pages will be printed on first sheet, next 8 on next one, etc.
If you want to have double side printing, you need to use Duplex option (and printer with duplex support).
Or maybe I misunderstood you?

Re: Double Side Multi Printing
hey, thanks for the replay.
thats correct,
but i can't printing doublex, because i use a raw printer for cups.
so i print in two steps:
first step: pages 1: 1-8, 3: 17-24,...
second step: pages 2: 9-16, 4: 25-32,...
i had to do this, to collect first the front pages, put them a second time in the printer and print them the backside.
thats the only way for printing double side without a doublex printer

Re: Double Side Multi Printing
Hello strech,
In this case I feel that there is no actual problem.
The lack of "duplex" printing is due to the specifics of the hardware, rather than our Viewer, and using the correct page ranges 1-8, 9-16, 17-24... etc. will result in the expected output.
We shall consider this one resolved unless you have anything else to add?
Best,
Stefan
