export and Import problems

Is there a limitation to the demo software whereby the Import and Export of fdf files is disabled or limited?

We were using demo 190 version code dated december 6th.

Does the import and export of fdf files include the ability to import and exsport form field data an not just annotations?


Using the full demo we display the file menu, select export and save an fdf file.

The fdf does not have any form field information. We took the same form, save data in an fdf file using full acrobat and then tried to import the fdf into the document using the full demo and the import did not read the data from the fdf file.

Hello joejoe,

Form field data should be imported using File -> Form Data -> Import data to form.

Also it appears you have uploaded the PDF file twice and not the .fdf

What about the export of the form field data? It does not seem to be working.

The File -> Form Data - Export form data option does not seem to be working.

Oops, I did not notice that your site does not accept fdf files. I have attached a zip file with the fdf

I tried to import/export data to and from your file also without success. I have passed this on to the dev team to investigate further. The ticket number is RT#706: fdf import and export issue though it's only internal.
