I'd like to "erase" and "replace" some text on a pdf. (I used quotes because I know that the viewer cannot edit a pdf.) I just need to change some words so that a printout looks good. (I know the font and can get close enough on the font size.)
I tried using the Rectangle tool to white-out the existing words, but I couldn't find a way to type on top of the white rectangle.
Thanks.
How can I "edit" text in a pdf?

Hi,
the best way to achieve this is just to cover the offending element with a new text box with the same colour background and revised text - see here for the relevant KB article.

Re: How can I "edit" text in a pdf?
I've had this problem but I'm not trying to replace the text, I'm trying to cover something up. Such as I imported a web page, but didn't want the bottom portion of the page to show. I inserted a white text box, but it won't print that way and I still get the text even though the document looks correct on the screen..... Any ideas?

Hi,
do you have the option in the print dialogue 'Print Document and Markups' selected - and also if you want to cover up permanently - you should use the option from the menu 'Document' 'Flatten'
hope that helps
