Access Violation in PDF Xchange 4 Pro

Post by westerha »

I use Win XP and PDF-XChange 4 Pro. When I use the Print-Option of Firefox or Openofffice to print a PDF with pdfsaver4.exe, then I have an AV
(pdfsaver4.exe - Fehler in der Anwendung).

Hi,

Could you please do as described here (you will need to adapt the FAQ info to relate to V4 obviously) and provide the requested tmp files and we will investigate urgently.

https://www.pdf-xchange.com/forum/v ... .php?t=800

Please email the files to :
[email protected]

Also - are you using XP 32 or 64 bit?

thanks

Thanks - files received and investigating.

I assume the files sent were created at a time when such an error was received ?

Hi,

Just to confrim that the .tmp file allows us to recreate the file with no problems even in V4 - can you please advise if when making this tmp file PDF-XChange 4 showed any problems - as the tmp fle suggests that the PDF file is created correctly ?

If you do still have a problem - we need the tmp file created at the time the crash happened - otherwise it shows nothing of value.

thanks

Can you try to turn off AutoUnload feature into pdfSaver and check if the problem still exists.
To turn in off run pdfSaver4.exe (it is located into subfolder pdfSaver of your installation folder) with parameter /Show and on "Settings" page of "PDF-XChange 4.0: pdfSaver" window uncheck "Autounload pdfSaver after" check box.

When attaching files to any message - please ensure they are archived and posted as a .ZIP, .RAR or .7z format - or they will not be posted - thanks.

I installed the new version (144), but the problem still exists, also when autounload is turned off.
