Re: Opening Jpeg Files
Hello, 02sam
This is somethign handled by windows, not us. When you use the "open with" function, windows gives you a selection of apps, and there is a checkbox at the bottom of the dialog that says "remember this choice" if you do not uncheck that option, windows itself will remember that you want to open your jpeg files in our software.
To change your windows default apps, open the start menu and type "default apps". You should then see a menu which allows you to change defaults by file type, where you can make this change directly.
Kind regards,

Re: Opening Jpeg Files
Hi thank you for the quick reply
Yes i understand what you say about windows handling the default app, and i know what you mean when you say windows will give a choice of apps and you can select the app you want to open the file, and there is a checkbox at the bottom of the dialog that says "remember this choice" if you do not uncheck that option, windows itself will remember your choice,
But that's my after loading a jpeg into your software to option to select for example windows photo app or windows paint or paint.net are not there anymore so i do not get the option to select the app i want
Regards Edward

Re: Opening Jpeg Files
Hi Edward,
are you saying that after simply opening a jpeg in the Editor you no longer have those other apps in the list when you try to use "Open With" then "Choose another app"?
Even if you hit "More Apps"
you don't see them like this?
Nothing we are doing should impact that, these other applications should always still be available.
Do I misunderstand what is happening?

Re: Opening Jpeg Files
Maybe you renamed the file-name-extension of the giving files from "jpg" to "pdf" ?
Are the file-extensions being displayed in your Windows File Explorer (View-ribbon > File name extensions, turned ON) ?
If yes, do you still see the specified pictures with their file-name-extension "jpg" or have they become "pdf" ?
