Hi
I can not activate the Typewriter to fill out a form
I have tried all information on it that I could find:
ctrl-E and the menu icon but I still can't type text into my document.
Is it because I am using the FREE version?
The documentation doesn't say the FREE version has this disabled?
Could someone give me a step by step guide please?
Kind regards,
glddt
How do I activate the Typewriter.

You misunderstood. What it says is:glddt wrote:I thought this application typed over protected PDF's, that is why I decided to try it out.
If the security settings do not permit any changes to be made, then PDF-XChange should respect that. It should not allow anyone to bypass the security set by the PDF file's author.Add Comments and Annotations to any PDF file (subject to security settings) - unlike the Adobe Viewer which requires the PDF creation tool to be 'certified' by Adobe !

Bhikkhu is correct.
We do not support the abuse of the authors designated security/use restrictions - if the Author has set the PDF to not allow modifications/markup's etc - then you will not be allowed to do this I am afraid.
