my viewer shows incorrect frames around text areas of P&ID-drawings:

How can I get rid of the frames.

This is an artefact of how those frames were created by the CAD software that generated them - they do not conform to the PDF specification strictly (they are not wrong, however they do specify a colour/border that technically should be displayed if we are to conform fully with the ISO spec). The Viewer was doing such a strict conformance - and as such you would see those there.
The solution is to update to the Editor:

Where we would recognize such elements and not display them (even though we really should be).
