The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.6.0 build 396.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================
Hello all,
Introduction
- There are two ways to specify the endpoint of a polyline or polygon: by double-clicking on it or by selecting "Complete" from the context menu.
If the Shift key is used to limit the angle, there was a problem until build 392 where double-clicking would add an extra control point at the end that was not intended, as shown in the video below (see this post for details).
- The following instructions assume, as usual, that a series of scenarios are operated in sequence, based on the default settings for Windows and PDF-XChange Editor. In each scenario, the verification details are almost identical. For each of the following three cases, a polyline and a polygon are drawn, and the endpoint is specified by a context menu.
- Case 1 (Left side) : specify the endpoint where there is nothing on the background
- Case 2 (Center) : specify the endpoint on the comment object
- Case 3 (Right side) : specify the endpoint on the stamp object
- Draw polylines and polygons with default settings in Windows and PDF-XChange Editor. Specifically, the following two assumptions are made (both are default settings)
- The "Fade or Slide menus into view" option is enabled in the Visual Effects settings of the Performance Options dialog in Windows.
- Exclusive mode for the Polyline and Polygon tools is disabled in the PDF-XChange Editor.
- Assuming that Exclusive Mode is enabled for each tool according to Scenario 1, we now perform the same verification with the angle constrained by the Shift key. As before, the line temporarily disappears when the context menu is displayed, but only when the endpoint is specified on the stamp object on the right.
- Clicking the [V] button on the far right of the drop-down list may not close the list

- Now we will perform the verification without angle constraints by returning the exclusive mode of each tool to disabled. Unlike in Scenario 1, the line does not disappear just by displaying the context menu when the endpoint is specified on the right stamp object.
However, if you move the mouse far outside of the context menu, the line somehow disappears temporarily, as before. The reason for moving the mouse cursor up and down in the video is to move the mouse cursor to outside of the context menu so that the line disappears.
- In any scenario, polyline and polygon comments will display correctly when endpoints are specified over comments. Since stamps are supposed to be handled similarly to comments, it seems to me that the behavior should be the same regardless of whether the endpoint is specified over a comment or a stamp.
The problem can be avoided by specifying the end of the line with a double-click operation, and I am sure that this is a very minor issue since it is a temporary display problem, but I hope it will be of some help.
