Error opening pdf
I received the following error when opening a pdf file: "Error [PXVLib]: unsupported file format". How do I resolve this?

Re: Error opening pdf
Hi, GTNixon
thanks for the post. This can be triggered by a corrupt file, and recently we have seen issues where it can happen when the file is saved to a folder that is synchronized cloud storage. We are testing a fix for one such issue with SharePoint.
Are your files on a sync'd folder and if so does it work to save it elsewhere locally first?
Also, please make sure you are testing the current version, 10.8.2.407.
I am keen to hear how that goes.

Re: Error opening pdf
I have seen this same thing in 2 different scenarios.
1) Opening and editing files from google drive.
2) scanning with the resulting output file being on a different flavor of cloud drive (not google or microsoft)
My work around for #1 was to always copy the files local before editing them.
I just hit #2 recently.
In the case of #2, other pdf viewers can parse the file just fine.
Also I tried the following thinking it was a real corrupting problem.
I opened the corrupted pdf using the built-in for MS Edge.
I then printed it out using the MS pdf print driver.
Tnen I copied the file back to the sync'd cloud storage
Then I successfully opened the file in pdf-xchange.
Then I closed it and tried again.
This time it was corrupted again, but instead of the scribbles (See below) 1/2 the page was just blank.
The other thing is that when the file was copied local.
pdf-xchange could open it just fine.
What I mean by corrupted is that usually about 1/2 the first page of 2 pages will be fine and then the rest just looks just like the scanner screwed up and the paper got stuck - like when your paper gets caught in the roller and all the lines print out in about 2 lines worth of paper.

Hi, media1mogul
thanks for the report. Can you confirm the version of PDF-XChange used? Help then About will tell you what you are running.
