PDFXchange installer freezes, uninstall also freezes

I had been using PDFXchange happily for several months when my harddrive recently died and had to be replaced. Now that the machine is up and running again I tried to install PDFXchange again but to no avail. I have tried both the .zip and .exe install and the result is the same each time: after selecting language of install, accepting license agreement, etc., the installer extracts the files and then freezes. After restarting my computer I am able to uninstall (uninstall freezes unless I restart the computer first) but no luck with installing.

I am running Vista 64-bit. Any ideas what I can do so that I can install the program?

Hello 5aday,

We will investigate the installation files now.

In the mean time you can try the 64 bit .msi installer - this will render the Viewer's Live update unusable (a known problem with the .msi installers without a viable solution for now) but should allow you to install the whole package.
