PDF xChange Viewer doesn't open attachments

Post by 0utl4w »

Hi,

i have the following problem. I have an PDF-document with other attached PDF-files but it won't allow me to open them. With Foxit Reader or Adobe Reader its no problem to open them. Is there something I have to change in my settings?

Hello 0utl4w,

Please check which build of our Viewer you are using, and if it is not the latest (2.0.54) - update to that one and you should be able to open the other PDF attachments.

Best,
Stefan

hi,

2.0.54 is the version that is installed. It shows me which files are attached but the open button is grey.

Any chance we could get a copy of the file ?

Either here or using the option Help -> Report a Problem in the Viewer application

Thanks

Hi 0utl4w,

sorry for not posting sooner. The team have indeed taken a look at this and have informed me that it will be fixed "in the nearest future" - I expect this means the next build. I don't have an eta for the next build at this time but it should be sometime in the next few weeks.

The attachments open OK in build 55, but the Javascript console opens and highlights a syntax error.

Yes, because there are errors in document's Javascript. If you have an option "Show Console on Errors and messages" turned on in the preferences, console will be shown automatically.
